How to use it:

It's still in alpha, and it's on discord, so your first step is to join their server and be greeted with this:

The first thing you need to do is fo to #how-to-chirp. There, you'll learn that, to use it, the tutorial is as follows:

1️⃣ Go to one of these channels:

You can also use the /chirp command in the ⁠「🏆」daily-theme channel, but prompts must include the theme of the day

The /chirp command does not work in any other channels.

2️⃣ Type /chirp in the message bar

3️⃣ Press Enter, and a modal will appear

4️⃣ Enter your lyrics, or get some help from ChatGPT

5️⃣ Press Submit and Chirp will generate two 30-second clips in 2-5 minutes

Other than that, it's 100% free so far, but remember this is even earlier than a beta.

At least there are some funny songs, though.

How to use it:

Like I said, it's dead simple: just type what you want in the main prompt, and you are done:

The 2 biggeownsides are, though:

1. You can't make anything longer than 30s (2x more we usually need for ads)

2. You have to know what you are describing, as it takes your idea entirely from your prompt.

Other than that, it's 100% free, no-account necessary, so def use it whenever you want something quick and clean to get the job done. Let's ask for:

chill, pop, upbeat piano and flute

What we get in return:

Not too bad, considering our work to create it was close to zero (although I'll admit the first 3s of the flute were a little bit too loud for my taste).

Option 03: Beatoven AI

How to use it:

This one is still technically free, as you get 5min/month of free downloads (which honestly is more than enough for most of us), but beware that it rounds usage to 30s steps. AKA, it's always better to ask for at least 30s generations, as otherwise you will be wasting credit.

On the matter of how to use it, you merely have to login (yes, but they didn't spam me, so at least there's that), and:

1. Is irrelevant to the creation, don't worry. It's 100% for your control

2. Remember to ask for 30s steps

3. How “fast” the track is

Chose “genres” (at least you can preview them),

Then moods (beware that some moods are disabled depending on the genre, like it's the case with me choosing indie),

wait a bit… (it can be stuck on 0% for 1min, so don't worry, you did nothing wrong)

Finally, you will see this:

1. Where you can play the song

2. Where you can download it

3. Where you can choose alternative generations (i love it, and remember that you don't "pay" for generations, only for downloads!)

4. Where to edit instruments, genre, and tempo

5. Where to edit the track and volume

And that's it: your song is ready! 🎼
