Master Midjourney with just 08 parameters - part 2/3
The 2nd episode bringing you the best, really, really fast
Hey, everyone. I won't waste your time with any preambles today. Let's go straight to the meat below 🤌
You can see the first part here, btw.
--Tile for seamless patterns
(huge for print-on-demand, gaming, and backgrounds for social media posts)
This one is almost a tool in and of itself. Simply add --tile at the end of anything you ask, and the magic is done! It's also important to note that this one works best in --ar 1:1 (aka, the one that already comes by when you start), but it's no problem doing it in a different --ar
So, for example for:
outer space planet with cute robot in the background, minimalistic --ar 16:9 --tile
We get:
Also, to check if your pattern is really tileable or not, I love using that site: https://www.pycheung.com/checker/
It's simple, elegant, and fast. I just paste #4 there and I get:
Definitely tileable 🤌
--stylize for more or less style (from 0 to 1000)
This one scales more linearly, and default value is 100 (in case you don't specify it). Look at 3 extremes below: 0, 500, and 1000
outer space planet with cute robot in the background, minimalistic --ar 16:9 --stylize 0
outer space planet with cute robot in the background, minimalistic --ar 16:9 --stylize 500
outer space planet with cute robot in the background, minimalistic --ar 16:9 --stylize 1000
--no for eliminating things (doesn't always work great)
For example, usually in our prompts we have been getting moons and stars. Let's try eliminating one of those, one at a time, and see what happens. No promises!
outer space planet with cute robot in the background, minimalistic --ar 16:9 --no moon
outer space planet with cute robot in the background, minimalistic --ar 16:9 --no stars
As you can see, the concept of eliminating a moon worked way better than eliminating stars. To be fair, some of the particles in the “--no stars” versions can be argued as not being stars, but… meh. For me, it just proves my point on how this parameter is powerful, but unreliable!
See you in the third and final part to this series!
